What we've been up to

We've been busy but we've been having fun. We just returned from spending the holiday in Denver with some great friends. You can see Jeannie's post about it here.

With the car loaded down, we left Thursday morning for the eight hour drive from Salt Lake. I was a bit worried how Nathan would handle such a long car drive, but he did great. He didn't sleep as much as I wanted him to but he did well. We made the mistake of going out to eat when we arrived in Denver. After eight hours in the car, the last thing Nathan wanted to do was sit down at a restaurant. He threw a fit. It was not fun. But the rest of the weekend was great. It's been a long time since we've seen the H family but the friendship picked right back up from where we left off. The weekend was filled with lots of catching up and laughter.

The mommies and babies went to the zoo while the daddies toured a brewery.

(The cuties helping me push the stroller through the zoo)

(They were fascinated by the animals)

(Judah enjoys the petting zoo, Nathan stayed a safe distance clinging to my leg)

We grilled steaks, walked around the Cherry Creek Arts Festival (where I ate the most amazing waffle I have ever had in my life) and played on large breakfast food.

(A strawberry, for a strawberry-blond)

(Mmmmm, waffles)

(Tiny flirtation)

(Trying to muster the courage ... )

(... almost there ...)

( ... tiny love.)

(Stories for Judah and Nathan before bed time.)

The conversation and company was great. Though we had a wonderful time, Nathan didn't hide his joy when we told him that we were driving home this morning. He started doing laps around the hotel room while chanting "Home! Home!" We definitely plan to visit again when we have more time to see and do more things.

Thanks Cody and Jeannie, we had a wonderful time and Judah is such a doll. We love you guys!

What cute kiddos! I'm glad you and BSC got to go see friends.
There will be no documenting of the belly until it begins to grow. I'm still wearing my jeans. I don't count bloat after eating as growth so i'll let you know :)

Sounds like fun! We went to Durango for the 4th so I can totally relate to how it is with kids after 8 hours in the car. That is so cute of the two of them holding hands! Aaahhh, young love....

Love the new layout! Very cute! Also, update, "How Do I Look" did get cancelled! There are a few new eps that haven't aired yet, though!
