Work has been totally insane lately. Normally I'm bored at work and have an hour or two to check blogs, write blogs, and check my e-mail 20 times a day. But these past two weeks have been almost unbearable. Yes, the day goes by faster when I've got 5 million things to do, but I go home totally stressed out, unable to relax, and I continually think about all the things that are waiting to be done back in the office. I'm ready for next week when the boss is out of town. This will constitute 2 hour lunches, coming in to work late, and leaving work early.
Ahhh, the good life awaits!
Just one more week of work-load hell to get through, then it's the easy-life for me. Last week I was at work from 8:40am to 10:30pm. ON A FRIDAY NIGHT! I didn't want to work alone, so I made BSC meet me at work. He's still mad that I made him come work with me ... on a Friday ... on a St. Patrick's Day Friday. He says I owe him big time. And I do. So, any ideas of what I can do to make it up to him? I've already agreed to let him have high-speed internet at home. But right now we're poor, so I can't spend any more money on him. What else could I do? Suggestions anyone?
I guess I should tell you all what I did for my birthday. It was the most perfect day of all time. My birthday was on a Friday. I took the day off and had a three-day weekend. Because I planned a totally kick-ass birthday* for BSC last year, I think he felt like he owed me something special. I spent my day off at the spa! From 10:00am to 3:00pm I was pampered and beautified with a massage, pedicure and facial. I absolutely loved it! It was such a relaxing end to the last stressful few weeks. The hubby did GOOD on this one. After my pampering was done, my family met for dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, The Melting Pot, where I proceeded to gain 10 pounds from overindulging myself in their heavenly chocolate dessert.
I will follow this random post with some pictures of my family from the birthday celebration in our (me and BSC's) honor the day after I gained 10 pounds from the melting pot. Notice the bulge? Yeah.

BSC's birthday (3/2) at our house
My mom, me and my dad at their house.
My aunt Rhonda
My aunt Charm
BSC says I mess with my nails too much, and why do I ALWAYS have that scowl on my face? I look so angry!
Note to self: this is NOT the way to make it up to BSC
Like father, like son. Again, not the way to make it up to BSC
My two boys, Benny and Simba. Soooooo cute (except when the orange one pees in the closet and the grey one eats so much he pukes on the new carpet)
FINALLY THE SHOE OF THE DAY HAS RETURNED!

This is so silly - but I'm so happy.. in all the time I've been reading both of your blogs, I don't think I've ever seen a pic of both of you. You're such a nice looking couple.. and it's nice to put faces with names!!
shoes are back!!
Hey, at least you said,
I went to "The Melting Pot, where I proceeded to gain 10 pounds from overindulging myself in their heavenly chocolate dessert"
and not,
"I went to the Melting Pot, where I proceeded to wear their chocolate dessert."
Perhapse there is a clause to the curse, and it is temporarily lifted on birthday.
By the way, what is UP with the text being centered??? : )
Gayle, I don't know why my text is centered. When I uploaded the pictures, everything centered, and it wouldn't let me align it to the left. Stupid blogger.
ah, happy birthday!! cute cats!! and SURELY there's a little somethin' somethin' you can do OTHER than posting pics of bsc on your blog?! *wink*
seriously, how cute are your cats???
I have some shoes that look like those! High speed internet at home is a great surprise. Some years gifts are better than others, nothing wrong with that at all!
that's a big cat!
i have some ideas (that don't cost any money) about how you could make it up to him . . . but i don't think i can say them in public. :)
There's this book, um, and well, it has lots of great ideas, and, um, well, um, just ask the Little Miss about it. Nuff said.
i love the melting pot! my mister took me there for my birthday last year, what a great way to age! sincerely hope you enjoy your "week off" without the boss...two hour lunches ROCK!
I miss the Melting Pot. Rocky won't take me there. And plus, it is not a child friendly environment, so I guess I won't be going there for at least another 18 years.
And I can't believe you can't think of a way to make it up to Brandon. As you can tell from everyone's comments, there is one thing that popped into everyone's mind when you asked for suggestions!
