Ok people, the time has come yet again for a negative post. I feel the past few posts have been rather positive, so now that I have done my required positive thoughts let me give you a few crappy things that have been going through my head as of late.
1. I went to college for four years ... to do what? Let me give myself a few pats on the back for a minute: I'm smart, I'm creative, I come up with good ideas and I'm more organized and clean than anyone of the face of this earth. So why in the world can I not get into the work industry I want to be in? I know that I don't have much experience, but nobody does when they first start out. After I graduated college I got a job selling furniture - don't you dare make fun of me, it paid the bills! Now I'm working as the accountant/school administrator/HR person/business manager/marketing manager/advertising manager/everything else you can think of "person" for a small company. I think I've decided that I will never be able to break into the marketing/advertising/PR industry. People who are hiring: Don't just look at experience, take a risk on someone like me and I wil GUARANTEE that I will be the best employee you've ever had. Damn the failing economy and the people with 20 years experience taking all the jobs that I should have. I went to school for four years, graduated Suma Cum Laude, was overly involved in all aspects of campus life which gave me a TON of great experience, and my resume doesn't even get a freaking GLANCE because I don't have 5 years experience. That's crap.
2. Stupid people and their judgmental views of other people. 'Nuff said.
3. The "bankrupt" airlines. Ok airline people, this might be a hard concept to grasp. So, you're trying to sell more airline tickets to make more money? LOWER THE FREAKING PRICES! I can't tell you how many times I've been on an airplane that's less than half full. I bet if the prices were a bit lower the plane would have reached its capacity. Less money is better than no money, right? Greedy turds.
4. Health Insurance companies are ROLLING IN THE DOUGH. Both Brandon and I are extremely healthy, young people. Why in the world am I forking out $200 bucks a month "just in case?" It's scary to think about how much health insurance is going to sky-rocket by the time we have kids. It's not fair to the people who can't afford it.
5. That brings me to another point. For all the people who are living off welfare and "beating the system" just so you don't have to work: you are bad people. When Brandon and I first graduated college and I was supporting both of us making $8 per hour, we were able to squeeze by. We never applied for government help, though we qualified for almost everything. I understand that there are people out there who need the help to survive, which is fine, but some don't need it and don't care to ever get off it. You're the reason why taxes are SO freaking high!
6. If you decide that you want to exercise, I'm all for it. If you decide it's best for you to ride your bike in order to do so, good for you! If you decide that just because you're on a bicycle that the laws of the road do not apply to you, you belong in the "bad people" category like in #5. Please quit running red lights, I really don't want to hit you with my car cause then you'll sue me and get what little money I have to pay your medical bills because you can't afford the over-priced health insurance premiums.
7. The only mail Brandon and I get is credit card applications. Usually about 5 per day ... FIVE. Leave us alone! I hate all people who live in Wilmington, DE.
8. I went to a party last night. Everyone was supposed to bring something. I brough cake and a bottle of wine. I can't stand people who come to parties empty handed "cause I didn't have time to make anything.'' What a bunch of crap! I didn't have time either, yet I still managed to buy a cake and a bottle of wine. The worst part is that these people usually end up eating the most, taking the last piece of cake when you got none for yourself. Idiots!
9. My boss - Like I said in #1, I have some good ideas about how to promote things, how to make things more organized, etc. On more than one occasion I have told my boss about some of the great ideas I've had for his business. On more than one occasion he has looked at me like I have lobsters crawling out of my ears. On more than one occasion he has "thought" of the same idea I presented to him just a few days earlier and told me that he has the best idea ever! On more than one occasion I've wanted to slap the crap out of him.
10. Spoiled brats - I work with a girl who acts like a spoiled brat. If her computer doesn't work, all she does is sit there and pout. She doesn't even make an effort to try to fix the problem, she would much rather complain to me about it and mope around like her life is about to end. Sometimes I want to slap her too.
Ok, I feel much better now. These things have been really bugging me lately. Thanks for letting me vent.

I agree with most of what you said... especially the one about the welfare system. As far as I'm concerned, it's corrupt. The next time I stand in line behind someone with more than the average 2.5 kids and is on food stamps, I will give them the evil eye. If that person pays with food stamps for the neccessities, and THEN turns around and buys beer, cigarettes and/or candy... well, I might have to throw my asparagus at them. You're on food stamps because you can't afford food.. what the hell are you doing buying beer and cig's with money? Oh! You're addicted! How is that my problem? It's my tax money and you're pulling that shit right in front of me! My head is about the explode just thinking about it!!
I. HATE. LAZY. PEOPLE.
and that's that.
i also graduated with a 4.0 and tons of extracurricular stuff and honors and blah blah blah (albeit from a lame christian college with a degree that i can't do shit with) which is why i work at a non-pofit organization and am taking out MORE loans to go to massage therapy school and actually get a job that i like and pay off my school loans (and my husband's because i am his sugar momma) faster.
whenever i get very mad at the people in wilmington, i just watch fight club. the end is beautiful.
Nytro - I watched "Million Dollar Baby" the other night and her mom kept saying "I can't live without my welfare!" after getting mad at her daughter for buying her a house. It totally pissed me off cause I know there are people out there like that.
Tabitha - Lazy people suck too! I think we're in the same situation. Maybe you're right, maybe it's because I graduated from a Christian university that nobody will look at my resume. I'm also my husband's sugar momma, gotta pay off those student loans!
Quick comment about the welfare: some people do need it. Yes, there are many who abuse the system. But there are some honest people out there who couldn't get by without it. And Lori, you may not know it, but some of the people you know are on it. Probably people you wouldn't even expect! We don't have food stamps, but Ciara is covered through Medicaid. I am so glad we have that, otherwise, she would have no insurance coverage.
And do I know the brat at your work?
I used to be a sugar mama, but now I am just a mama, no sugar.
Let me clarify what I was saying about the welfare system. I was complaining about the people who take advantage of it. I knew some people in college who were on it, and that's fine with me. I'm not trying to insult anyone who's had government help before. I'm saying that the people who take advantage of government help are BAD PEOPLE!
Oooh, where'd you get that green pepper welfare burger?
I use to work at Target and there were always people using there Horizon card (glorified Food Stamps) to buy clothes for her friend while her child looked like he had just crawled out of the dumpster! Because the stupid government gives them money to buy supplies other then food. Or the people that use it to by beer, I would just stare at them and not even say a word to them.
So I totally agree with pretty much all that you said!
