The Master Bedroom and Bar

So yes, I know I haven't updated in a while. So, so sorry friends.

But now that I know I need to update, I can't think of much to write about, so I have decided to give you more pictures of some of the rooms we have redone in our house. Enjoy!

BEFORE

As if the pink sheers and tacky furniture weren't enough, the orange/brown shag carpeting tops everything off with the lovely flair of the 60s combining with the 80s.

AFTER

What we did: new carpet, new paint, installed plantation shutters, and redecorated with our own furniture. This room really didn't require that much work. Just putting our own furniture and decorations in here made a huge difference.

I've talked several times about BSC's Sooner bar. Well, here are some pictures. I have no "before" pictures because it was just an empty room with white walls. Now, five coats of paint later, some OU decorations, and a new furniture ... here we have BSC's old Irish Pub:

Very cute, I love the before and after pictures (which is why I did the same thing on my blog). I'm not going to show my husband that you guys put a Sooner bar in your house. He already wants all the pictures in our basement to be his favorite stadiums. I can only imagine having to paint his favorite teams colors on our walls. (blue and yellow - Michigan) or (blue and white - BYU) I guess the blue and white wouldn't be so bad.

PS. love the red and white, and the lines look straight. Great job!

Love the bed!!! Does BSC make it? Cause there's no way Alan would...
the bar looks great too - even if it is Oakie stuff!

So just how many pillows do you keep on your bed? Have you seen Along Came Polly? You should do that to all those dang pillows!

Oh hell - I've had pillows on a bed that damn near go to the bottom of the bed. I sleep on the big bed of pillows.

So of course I love it. And as I mentioned before on JM's blog - I freaking love these before and after posts because I hate watching decorating shows but I love the before and after pics. This is all I need.

It's amazing what plantation shutters can do for a room.

And BSC's room kicks a@@.

We're going to have to paint our entire new house after the wedding. You all want to come visit after the wedding? C'mon - we're close to OU!!

lori,

you should go into decorating! i'll be your first client - you can come to england and decorate our new little place! do you have any creative ideas for a studio? i've tried to partition things off using shelves - and the studio is l-shaped so i put the bed in the back part of the l. for a year, i think it will work out fine.

i just hope houston doesn't see the photos of bc's sports room or that will be our next project whenever we get back to the US and live in a house bigger than one room!

Love, love, love you're duvet cover! I'm quite sure it would mildew in a minute here, though...
