Sorry it's been a while since I've last posted. It's been quite a stressful week. Work has been non-stop because of the holiday season. I'm about to die from overload. It just seems that I can never get ahead. Oh well, I better get used to it cause it won't end until January is over.

Why do people ask for your advice/opinion, then get mad at you when you give it to them because it's not what they wanted to hear? If you don't want to hear my opinion or advice, THEN DON'T ASK!

In other news, Gayle, my college roomie (no she's NOT the one I always complain about, she's the other one) is flying in from Texas to come visit me this weekend. How fun is that? My first house guest in an unfinished house. It will feel like college all over again -- we will have to share one tiny bathroom, no doors on any of the bedrooms, only usage of paper plates and cups is allowed because the dishwasher isn't hooked up yet and we have no kitchen sink! Fun times! (Actually we never had to do that in college, we had a pretty kick-ass 2 bed/2 bath condo.) This will give Brandon a chance to do what he's been wanting to do for the past few months: sit down in front of the TV and absorb as many football games as humanly possible for an entire Saturday. Gayle and I will be out and about going to fancy luncheons and getting pedicures. It will be nice to do something normal on a weekend instead of being cooped up inside the house forcing myself to do more renovation. This will be a much-needed break from the all-consuming, money-pit of a house we have.*

Chistmas shopping update: nothing to update, I still haven't purchased anything. This is continually adding to the stress.
*To my house: If you're reading this, please don't be insulted that I want to get away from you. Please don't spring another leak or stop providing heat. I just don't think I could take another one of your outbursts. I love you, you know that. Sometimes it's good in a relationship to spend a little time apart. I promise to spend next weekend entirely with you.

heeeeee! if your house retaliates, MOVE. i don't like houses with revenge glands.
If you think house renovations are bad rent The Money Pit. That is an awesome movie.
I can not wait to see house pictures.
oh, god. you need to get out of the house. renovation absolutely blows and it so great to get away. when it's finally done, though... you'll probably never want to leave!
This is the house talking. Ignore the pug picture.
I'm not speaking to you any more because you negelected me. I'm pouting.
don't apologize to your house! you have done nothing but spoil her rotten! (new clothes, new shoes, new makeup, the WORKS!)
If anything, she owes YOU an apology for being such a sh**.
btw, i'm jealous you had a college roomie weekend! ((sigh))
Update from the visiting (back home safely) roomie:
Lori and I promise to Blog about some certain adventures we had while I was visiting. There are some funny ones.
Isn't it funny how you start measuring your experiences by what would be interesting to write about on your Blog?? :)
I need another college roomie weekend! Oh wait it's my turn to visit!
Sounds fun! I apologize to my house as well, it is a necessary thing!
