PDA

Nope, don't get our your little electronic planner-thingy. That's not what I'm talking about here . Public Displays of Affection. This bothers me ... a lot. I understand that people want the whole world to know that they love their boyfriend/girlfriend or husband/wife. But personally, I don't need to see you suck each other's face to realize that there's love in your relationship. I like it when Brandon and I hold hands, I love it when he puts his arm around me when I'm cold. But if he all of a sudden decided that he wanted to make out in the middle of the mall ... no way, not gonna happen. I can't stand it when other people do stuff like that, so there's no way I'm going to take part in it myself. For example: We were walking around the mall on Sunday. Just ahead of us one of the workers in the kiosks was making out with who I can only assume is his girlfriend. Not just making out, but feeling and groping as well. RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MALL! Have a little pride people. GET. A. ROOM. Another scenario: You and your other half are out to eat with another couple. This is the type of couple that can't be apart for more than 3 seconds and each second they are together, they always seem to mesh into one person. He has his arm around her while holding both of her hands and her legs are up on his lap. Then the worst part: because they don't want to separate when the food comes, THEY FEED EACH OTHER! They can't keep a decent conversation going because they're too busy gazing into each other's eyes to notice that they are on a double date with another couple. GAG! Save those mushy moments for dinners that encompass words like: anniversary, Valentine's Day, birthday, or some other celebration that only involves you and your other half. Nobody wants to be a part of your "love session." So cut it out. Not a big fan, not a big fan of it at all.

Yeah Cody, Brandon and I were talking the other day about how much we hate hanging out with you two cause all you do is make out at the dinner table. That nonsense needs to stop! :)

For scenario #1 - I blame reality tv. People actually think we want to see them doing this because we as a society watch the same shit on RealWorld and/or Big Brother.

Scenario #2 - It's quite obvious this couple is a new couple. Give the a few months. There will be screams coming out of her at him that have nothing to do with Mr. Toads Wild Ride. That'll take care of the PDA's.

btw: Question about Mr. Toad's Wild Ride? See Everybody Loves Raymond.

Ha! Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, good reference.

The specific couple I'm talking about have been married now for almost three years after dating for two years. I think that's time enough to come out of the kissy-kissy phase. That's why it annoys me so much, they're not a new couple, but they still act like one. Bleh!

Yeah I obviously missed the memo on that one as well.

I also hate when your standing in line and the couple in front of you can't stop touching parts that should not be touched in public... ewww!

I think it's cool when people make out in public, especially when you hear slurping.

I also think Just Me's comment was indeed worthy of being posted five times. Well put.

i'm against PDA's... but i will grab ben's ass in public just to hear the gasps from the old ladies behind us. it's worth it.

Totally agree with you on the "shock factor." That's the one and only reason PDAs are acceptable.

wow, sorry for all the posts, my computer was having issues and instead of shutting it down, I impatiently pushed publish way too many times.
