Working Dialog

This is a typical conversation between my boss ("His Highness") and any of his employees ("Slave"):

His Highness: "Slave, rub my feet and bring me some chocolate."

Slave: "Of course Your Highness, I will be back with some chocolate ASAP."

(10 minutes pass as the poor panick-stricken employee scrambles to find any sort of chocolate to satisfy the boss.)

Slave: "I purchased a cake from the bakery across the street with my own money for you. I don't particularly like chocolate cake, but they said it was worthy of Your Highness. How long would you like your feet rubbed Your Highness?"

His Highness: (With a mean and confused look on his face) "Slave! Who told you to go get me chocolate? Are you trying to kill me? I am diabetic you fool! I don't want my feet rubbed either! Leave me alone so I can sit at my desk and look important while all of the rest of the slaves around me do my work."

Slave: "But you told me ..."

His Highness: "I said no such thing! I know exaclty what I say and when I said it."

(10 more minutes pass)

His Highness: "Slave! Where is my chocolate? My feet hurt, I need a foot massage. Get down here immediatley and do your job."

That conversation really hits home. My boss is at retiring age, and of course confusion with everything ensues.
