Random Thoughts

So, here are some thoughts I had for the day about whatever has been in my mind lately:
1. Brandon got the job ... not just a job, THE job. This is a job he has been waiting to get for 24 years. The sports industry is crazy hard to break into and he did it. Way to go, I'm so proud of you! I hope I can put up with you being gone so much ...
2. My good friend Jesi is gone (see "Jesi's Blog" to the left). No, she didn't die you morons! She's decided to become a zoobie and go on a mission. The one LDS (mormon, for those non-Utah people) person who was pretty cool has decided to become a mormon missionary and go door-knocking. Lock your doors, turn off your lights ... she's coming your way! Ha! Just kidding, Jesi. You better be the same when you come back or I'll have to send you to live in Provo where you fit in.
3. Now that Jesi is gone, work has been crazy. I know she's going to love hearing this: our other co-worker has been packing boxes all day while I was running errands like crazy (things normally done by our slave, Jesi). I haven't had a whole lot of spare time to do my normal stuff, so the work is piling up. And what do I do about it? Write on my blog and let it keep piling up.
4. I have become house-crazy. This is something that will bother Brandon immensly for the next 6-9 months, or however long it's going to take us to find a house and move out of the basement. I'm usually looking at virtual tours online instead of blogging and/or doing work. I'm going open-housing this weekend with my mom. Let the good times roll!
5. Baby showers (or bridal showers for that matter): DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN TO THESE EVENTS!! They are not invited, they will be bored the entire time, and they will cause all sorts of distractions from the main focus of the party. If you cannot find a relative, babysitter, friend, homeless person, ex-con, or any useful sort of person from the street to watch your little angel, make sure they are well behaved. If not, leave the shower. Nobody enjoys two solid hours of screaming, unruly children while trying to "shower" a very pregnant mother with gifts. No fun at all.
6. Question posed by my sister while visiting over the weekend: Would you eat your pet for $100,000? My answer: no. If I did it unknowingly, then it might work. But I couldn't fathom giving up two loving cats for that. Besides, Simba is all skin and bones, not very good for eating.

I would eat someone else's pet too, there's a mean orange cat that lives across the street from us named Amigo. He's not neutered so he's very territorial. For some reason he believes that our house is his territory so he beats up our two cats. I hate that cat!

Lori...It was good to hear from you. we are moving to Malibu in a little over a month!! Law School is going to be a very exciting time!! Blah. We are actually going to Flagstaff, AZ...it will be a blast. Not at all. But if we ever get to Salt Lake, we'll give you a ring. If you ever feel the hankerin to come to Malibu for the beach or any of the touristy things around...your welcome at our place!! Adios.
