Yesterday the sewage pipes in our basement backed up and overflowed into the bathroom.

I think that's your sign... you need to move. The house wants you out, and I think it's saying "move to Oklahoma". ha!
wow oh crap is right. It always seems like things like that break on a holiday because then you have to pay extra to get it fixed. Hope nothing got ruined!
