I'm baaaaaack!

I took a short hiatus from blogging because of the holidays, travel and so many other things going on in my little house. I apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused you, but never fear, I am BACK! No, things have not calmed down at all and I've finally accepted that they probably never will. It's quite freeing now that I have accepted that my life, and most other people's lives will more likely than not be crunched for time. It's amazing the things I still need to do as a result of the recent holiday season. Most of my Christmas decorations are still up (I know, I know they need to come down!) and just looking at them overwhelms me to the point that I feel like I need to take a nap. I have more Christmas decorations than the average person for several reasons. First, most of them were free. Yes FREE!! For my first job after college, I worked at a Christmas store. We had tons of beautiful decorations and if any of them were damaged in any sort of way or used in our displays, the employees were allowed to take them home at no cost. So I was lucky enough to acquire some beautiful decorations for almost nothing. But every year I have the daunting task of putting up all of these lovelies, then carefully packing and wrapping up each ornament so I can do it all over again the next year. It took me two hours to take the ornaments off the tree alone. I'm not looking forward to the garland, nativity scene, and all the other nick nacks around the house. Do I have any volunteers to come help?

But overall, Christmas was great. We were able to see most people on both sides of the family, we traveled to Oklahoma, ate tons of great food, gave and received some awesome presents, and best of all, we had a white Christmas. I always love the holidays and I always love when they're over.

Last but not least. Look what Santa surprised me with under the tree:

I heart coach! Every year I've gotten a coach purse from my boss and this year I didn't. I'm still sporting the spring line. Oh well there's always next year. Glad that you had a good christmas. And don't worry our Christmas didn't even come down until last Saturday and the husband had to do it because I didn't want to.

I'm glad you all had a great Christmas.. the one thing we did not do this year was decorate - there was no point with all the traveling. But as the child of someone whose mother decorated every inch of every room I totally understand!!

I'm jealous of your purse. I have GOT to get a new one. I only have my Nate Nate Isabella Fiore purse and it's getting ruined!! I literally don't own another purse - it's insane!! I was just talking about that in the car on the way to Faith's appointment.

ps - I think they've just done depositions and set the scheduling order, but I don't know about any of the dates or anything... nobody tells me anything!! (I'm talking about my case)

Nice to see you back! Christmas is always crazy - but that's part of what makes it so fun!

I am so jealous of your purse! The only expensive one I own is a little Betsey Johnson I got at TJ Maxx that I absolutely adore. One day...

That purse is the very reason there needs to be a "best accessories" category for the Loo Awards next year.

Oooh... tell santa he can come to my house anytime!

Thanks for your comment, and I won't lose touch! Just so you know, memories of high school math and Gamma Sigma were precisely what caused me to revise "forget high school completely" to "forget most of high school" True!
