In October, Kara, my good friend from college, came to visit me all the away from Galveston for a weekend. It had been over a year since I had seen her, so it was a very fun visit. She came the weekend of the OU/Texas game, which BSC was grateful for so he could burrow himself in the basement, watch the football game, and drink himself to an oblivion without being bothered. OU lost, so he drank some more.
So our weekend:
We ate at Bucca di Beppo the night she arrived for a late dinner. I have no idea what this green statue is behind me, but Kara said she liked it so we took a picture.
We did some shopping at one of my favorite shopping centers, Gardner Village. All the witches were out from Halloween. I think my boobs are just about as big as the witch next to us. Thank you pregnancy.
Mmmmmmmmmmm, yummy. Chocolate at The Melting Pot. I asked the waiter to bring me a fancy drink with no alcohol because they didn't have anything fun listed on the menu. He brought out this white chocolate/chocolate slushy thing in a martini glass. Being obviously pregnant, people around us started whispering immediately about the fact that I was drinking, assuming that the fancy drink contained some sort of alcohol. I was dying for one of them to say something to me so I could tell them off, but they just continued to whisper and point. So I did what anyone else would do ... got loud and acted drunk. It was FUN!
This is my house. Shut up, it is too.
This is us sitting in front of my house. Alright, alright, it's not my house. But I wish it was ...
cause then I would have cute bunny rabbits, beautiful peacocks, wild geese, and other creatures running around my yard.
We also drove up one of the canyons so Kara could see the mountains up close. Sometimes I'm so thankful I'm living in a place that has views like this.

Thank goodness neither one of you had a traumatic experience at Bucca Di Beppo...
LOVE LOVE LOVE the story about Melting Pot. I wish I had seen that!
Love all those places! Gardner Village is so much fun! And I've never been to the Melting Pot but I would love it! As for the people whispering about you - good ole UT for you.
And for the record you do not look fat at all! But I am glad to see some more pregnency pictures.
Looks like you guys had fun - I LOVE The Melting Pot!
Awww I had so much fun! I wish I'd caught one of those baby bunnies. Simba and Benny would have loved a new playmate!
Go drunk pregnant woman in the land of prudes!! LMAO!!
and btw, I claimed that house as my own when I was about 10 years old, so clearly you have the facts wrong.
You look great, glad you had a fun weekend!! And good for you for putting the sanctimommys in their place.
