Went on my lunch break.
Walked into the eating establishment ... promptly sat down.
Wondered why in the world my butt was so cold.
Realized the chairs were wet.
Stood up and saw in a mirror that it looked like I had just peed my pants.
CRAP!
So after another lovely eating experience I stopped by a store in the same area to check on an order I had placed in November. I know what you're thinking, that's a SUPER long time to wait for an order. But, I have to explain that these items I collect take a very long time to be shipped. I know this because in college I worked at a little antique store that sold them. They are called Sid Dickens Memory Tiles. The artist is from Canada, and the minimum order is quite high so it sometimes takes stores forever (up to 6 months) to get them in if they don't already have them in stock. So, back to my story. In November I ordered one of the tiles that was going to be discontinued in December. The owner said she planned to order a lot of the tiles that would be discontinued so it shouldn't take long for the order to be shipped. She even went so far as to let me pick out the rest of her order so she would have an idea of what collectors (like me) were interested in having in stock. It was quite fun! So, March rolled around and I called the store to see if my order had come in yet. They said that it still hadn't come in, but they did confirm that I was on the list as having ordered one of the discontinued tiles.
Now it is May. I walked in the store today and was told that everyone who had placed orders was called and had already picked up their tiles. They have no more discontinued tiles left. But they could give me back my money.
I DON'T WANT MY MONEY BACK!
I WANT THE DISCONTINUED TILE THAT HAS NOW DOUBLED IN VALUE!
I WANT THE ONE TILE THAT WILL COMPLETE MY COLLAGE ON THE WALL!
I'm angry right now, and I'm not quite sure how to deal with it. I may just have to go eat some candy. Yes, candy always makes me feel better. Knowing that I'm making my teeth rot out of my head is much better than high blood pressure.

K that totally sucks! Did you talk to the same person that you helped with the order?
I'd be seriously pissed. Do they sell them on Ebay? Good luck with finding the rest of your collection, they are really pretty tiles.
i have no idea what your legal recourse is... but i wouldn't let this go. they have literally robbed from you the investment. i would make them find you one. period.

I like BSC's idea.. but I'm with Just Me - I would start searching on eBay - or anywhere online to complete the collection. Do whatever to get your money back, there has to be somewhere else in this great wide world to get what you want. I would be pissed too - I'm big on completing collections to an almost obsessive level.
