Monday, bad bad Monday

Ok, ok, ok, I've had just about enough of this crap. As if it weren't bad enough to be forced to wake up at an unheard of hour on a Monday, I had to wake up to something like this:

Snowstorm! A freaking snowstorm in the middle of April. For those of you who live in hot-weather climates and are thinking to yourself "but snow is so pretty, we never get snow where I live," you can all just keep your mouths shut. I used to agree with you, I used to think snow was pretty ... until I had to commute in rush-hour traffic for 1 1/2 hours each way with ZERO visibility ... until I had to dig my car out of the snow and scrape 12" of the stupid white crap off my windshield ... until I lived in a place that snow does not melt when it hits the ground, it stays for weeks upon weeks and just keeps accumulating. Stupid snow ... stupid, stupid snow.

If I ever get the chance to meet mother-nature, we're going to have words. All my flowers are dying in the front yard because according to "nature", it's time to bloom. And they are right, it is time for warm spring weather. Then all of a sudden we get hit with 33 degrees and a freaking snowstorm! Ahhhhhhh!!!!!

Nah, I hate snow. Its 89 outside and I am LOVING IT. Some people hate the heat though.

Today, it was 101 degrees here, and TXU Electric had rolling blackouts across the metroplex because it was not prepared for the power that it takes to run the air conditioning at that level. The blackouts turned off everything including signal lights. I timed one of them, and it only stayed green for 6 seconds. SIX. Then of course the other direction had 6 minutes. I counted that, too.

I feel sorry for you, but not that sorry!! :)

My mom called me yesterday when she went out to her car and it was 104 degrees outside.

I told here that there were a few inches of snow on the lawn.

What a strange world we live in!
